I’ve been reading library books the past few months (for budget purpose) but I never find those I want to read and my book list keeps growing. A little wishful thinking cannot hurt :
– The Immortal Evening – A Legendary Dinner with Keats, Wordsworth and Lamb by Stanley Plumly: probably my answer to « If you could have dinner with anyone, dead or alive, who would you choose? ». This book has been on my top list for a while now and I’m positive I would love it.
– L’odeur du sang humain ne me quitte pas des yeux by Franck Maubert: conversations with Francis Bacon, in French.
– Girodet by Marc Fumaroli et al. : I would love to know more about this artist, such a complex figure in art history, between Neoclassicism and Romanticism.
– Dante in Love by A.N. Wilson : I expect this biography brings light onto the mysterious and daunting person Dante is but really hopes it remains secular.
Have you read any of these? What are your favourite non-fictions/fictions at the moment?
